San Agustín

The chapolas are small seedlings that grow in nurseries which must be carefully protected for their correct development since they will be the future of the productive crop. After a few weeks, this little plant grows and changes its name to "Colino" as it is commonly known in Colombia.

El Colino will eventually be planted in the ground and remain in production for the next twenty years before being eradicated and replaced by a new plant. Therefore, the variety of seed that is planted and the proper management that is given to the Chapola is the first step toward the success of the crop and the producer's income for a long period of time.
